Guess what,last Saturday 5 July,i had the first experience of being stuck in a lift/elevator for 1 hour. Last Saturday,i had a family gathering till about 11pm,then my family and all my relatives went to Mustafa Centre at Serangoon to buy some staffs.it was after midnight.At about 1 am,we decided to head home by stopping by somewhere to refresh ourselves.We went in the lift at the new building.It only requires 13 persons to take the lift but in that lift at that time,there were 12 of us including 2 other chinese guys.we wanted to move to the 4th floor from the 1st floor.As the lift was disastrous,it rose slowly to the 2nd floor and suddenly jerked and jerked and halted between 1st and 2nd floor;1 and a half floor.The lift jammed in between 2 floors and it was high.It was 1.10 when it jammed.As time flies,there were no ventilation and the glass panels were fogged.my uncle kept pressing the alarm button and that lasted for an hour.we kept waving to people(shoppers and sales persons)outside as it is visible through the glass panels.they were all unconcerned with us and looked at us like we're in a cage ,trapped.they were laughing and didnt do anything to help. all of us inside were suffocating and were angry upon Singaporeans such as them who dont have brains.when we were rescued after an hour of no ventilation and chances of what i dont wanna say,my aunt and uncle screamed to the people who laughed at us and called the manager of the mall.we intended to call the press and police and ambulance all came.the salesgirl who laughed at us was fired right at that instance. I was relieved + angry+unsatisfied aftermath.this was the first experienced being stuck in a lift. I hope Singaporeans improve.and i also hope that the O-level EL oral exams would ask this kind of question that requires me to tell them my story.
